Course Content

Come when called

Your dog will learn to:

  • concentrate on you & look to you for guidance;
  • walk nicely beside you when in crowded situations or in traffic;
  • control impulses to run out of doors &  gates ahead of you;
  • leave things on the ground that you don’t want her / him to have (or drop things they have picked up);
  • wait calmly to be fed;
  • allow you to take food away;
  • come when you call;
  • stay in her / his allocated parts of the house;
  • behave calmly around other dogs, in crowds & in traffic; and, of course
  • if there is a problem with house training, become well toilet trained.

You will:

  • begin to get greater enjoyment from your dog;
  • build your dog’s confidence in you so you will have more control over him;
  • enjoy meeting up with people with similar interests;
  • master techniques to keep your dog doing the things you want;
  • learn tricks for keeping your dog out of mischief;
  • fine tune your canine communication skills so that your dog really know what you want;
  • come to understand when we should use food for training & when we should not;
  • learn to think of the world from your dog’s point of view;
  • get a greater understanding of how dogs learn – that in some things they learn like us & that in some things they learn completely differently.
